Dear Vauxhall and Area Business owners, 

Economic well-being of our region is based on our existing businesses. In recognition of this, positive action is being taken in your community to identify and meet the needs of these businesses. A Business Retention and Expansion survey is being conducted by Chinook Community Futures in partnership with the Town of Vauxhall, Vauxhall Business Society, and Municipal District of Taber.

The objectives of the survey are:

Short-term:

- Demonstrate and provide support for local business

- Identify and address immediate concerns

- Improve communication between community and business

- Determine existing business needs (infrastructure, training, financing, etc)

Long-term:

- Increase the competitiveness of local business

- Implement plan for economic development

- Foster business development and job creation

The success of the project depends on the number of businesses participating. Your co-operation in this regard would be most appreciated. The survey will be brief and should take approximately 15 minutes. All information collected will be kept in strict confidence and released only in aggregated form.

Chinook Community Futures and the Town of Vauxhall would like to inform the business community that they should expect a visitation from the project coordinator. In order to fit into schedules, we can also offer advance arrangements for appointments. Please call myself or Community Futures office to make this arrangement. However due to the scope of the project please expect contact at any time during the assessment period.
